Myriad is a female vocal ensemble based in Burlington, Ontario under the fearless leadership of Elise Naccarato. The group specializes in singing unaccompanied, contemporary music by female composers, including the rising Canadian star and Burlington native, Katerina Gimon; Canadian Sarah Quartel; and arrangements by the well-known Canadian all-female folk band, The Wailin’ Jennys. These composers and arrangers are just a few examples of music that comprise Myriad’s diverse repertoire.
Myriad had its debut performance with Symphony on the Bay, Burlington’s community orchestra, in December 2017, at their annual Christmas concert in the Burlington Performing Arts Centre. In June 2018, they collaborated with Arcady, a Brantford-based ensemble, for Voices of Summer, debuting pieces by Ronald Beckett and Katerina Gimon. Since then, Myriad has continued to perform in and around the GTHA, sharing their singing, laughter and love of music with adoring audiences.
