“Canadian cellist Winona Zelenka has been showcasing her virtuosity with orchestras across Canada and the world. She is joining us for our French-inspired programme, and we are not cutting down on the champagne on this one! This programme will feature the Saint-Saëns cello concerto as well as Beethoven’s 3rd symphony, Eroica, which was originally dedicated to Napoleon. Also, I am excited to share the Carnival Overture by Canadian composer and my composition teacher at the University of Toronto, Oskar Morawetz.
