Bob DeAngelis is often referred to as Canada’s own “King of Swing.” His clarinet prowess has earned him world class status as one of the globe’s finest jazz clarinetist. He is a multiple award winning instrumentalist, including two JUNO Awards and was awarded the title of “Jazz Clarinetist of the Year” from the Canadian National Jazz Awards. He has performed as a guest artist across North America with numerous symphony orchestras and has entertained for numerous heads of state, royalty and dignitaries. In 2008 Bob performed at Carnegie Hall with his own “Champagne Symphony Orchestra,” celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Benny Goodman’s famous concert there. He is considered one of Canada’s most popular bandleaders and is positioned at the helm of his own entertainment company, DeAngelis Entertainment Inc. that provides quality live music products to the commercial market. Bob has an extensive discography in both the Jazz and “easy listening” genres.
